Adding to the drama, police in Tontitown, Arkansas, released a statement on Friday, March 20, announcing new charges against Joseph. He was initially arrested on Wednesday, March 18, and charged with Lewd and Lascivious Behavior in Florida. The new charges are unrelated to the Florida case and include four counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and four counts of second-degree wrongful imprisonment.
Kendra Duggar Faces Similar Accusations
The situation took another unexpected turn when police revealed that Kendra Duggar, 27, is facing similar accusations in the Arkansas case as her husband. According to a news release from Tontitown, Arkansas, police, Kendra is being accused of child endangerment in Arkansas.

KNWA/FOX24 reported that the TTPD stated both Joseph and Kendra Duggar face four charges of second-degree false imprisonment and four charges of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Law enforcement officials reportedly went to the Duggar family’s residence at 1 p.m. on March 20 to arrest Kendra, but she was not present at the time.
Investigation Details and Future Updates
Authorities emphasized that the charges against the Duggars in Arkansas are completely separate from Joseph’s case in Florida. However, the TTPD did confirm that the independent investigation began shortly after the alleged incident in Florida.
