Olivia and Ethan Plath Divorce Officially Finalized

The chapter has closed for Olivia and Ethan Plath. A Minnesota judge finalized the
Welcome to Plathville couple’s divorce in February 2026, marking the end of their marriage. The pair initially announced their separation in October 2023, with divorce papers being filed in February 2024. They were married in October 2018.

The divorce process seemed to drag on, creating tension between Ethan and Olivia, as they each
suggested the other was prolonging the proceedings.

“Olivia will not call or respond, do anything,” Ethan said in the
Welcome to Plathville Season 8 premiere. “She’s purposely trying to hold me up, trying to make my life hell. I believe Olivia won’t let me go because she doesn’t want to let me move on to anybody else. I think that’s her motive.”

Financial Details Emerge From Divorce Decree

Court documents obtained by Us Weekly provide insight into the former couple’s financial arrangements.
Both Ethan and Olivia have waived any rights to spousal support. They’ve agreed to divide their assets and will be responsible for any debts incurred in their own names.

“Both parties recognize that after paying normal and necessary living expenses, neither has the ability
to pay maintenance to the other,” according to the document. “Each party agrees that her or his waiver of maintenance is fair and equitable, that it is supported by adequate consideration, including the mutual waivers of maintenance.”

Ethan will retain ownership of his bank and investment accounts, as well as his collection of classic
cars, which includes a 1937 Plymouth valued at $8,000.

Olivia will maintain control of her bank and investment accounts, along with her company, Sunshine
Media. She will also keep a 2016 Subaru Outback. Additionally, Olivia will continue to use her married name, Plath, instead of reverting to her maiden name, Meggs.

Ethan’s ‘Welcome to Plathville’ Salary Revealed

The divorce filing also shed light on Ethan’s income from
Welcome to Plathville. He identified the TLC show as his primary source of income, reporting earnings of approximately $2,500 per month.

Olivia, who works as a wedding photographer, operates her own company and also works as a “group
travel host in the State of Virginia.” Her income varies from month to month. She no longer appears on
Welcome to Plathville, having left the show the previous year.

“I’m really happy to move on in my life and find spaces/avenues/platforms that better align with my
values, morals, and wants,” she shared on Instagram before the premiere of season 7. (Olivia makes only brief appearances during the season.)

“I learned a lot through the process of the show and I give that experience and the people I met along the way a lot of credit in shaping who I am today,” she added. “But I’ve outgrown it.”
