Yara Zaya Reveals Secret She’s Been Hiding From Jovi On 90 Day: The Last Resort

Yara Zaya is finally coming clean about the secret that she was keeping from Jovi Dufren on 90 Day: The Last Resort. The 27-year-old Yara is from Ukraine and moved to the U.S. on a K-1 visa. Yara complained about having to stay with Jovi in New Orleans. She felt miserable in America and even more so when Jovi had to leave her alone at home for weeks due to his ROV supervisor job. Yara became pregnant before they could marry which made them prepone the wedding. They welcomed their first baby later in the year. But since it was three years ago in 2020, Jovi has been pushing Yara to have a second baby with him now.

Yara admitted that her and Jovi’s marriage looks picture-perfect on Instagram, but they had their own reasons to come to 90 Day: The Last Resort. One of them was Jovi needing a child from her. However, in a preview of episode 2 shared by Today, Jovi’s wish is not coming true any time soon thanks to Yara’s shocking secret.

Yara and Jovi are at a group therapy session with Petey Silveira, Dr. Janie Lacy, and Dr. Jason Prendergast along with their co-stars Angela Deem, Kalani Faagata, Asuelu Pulaa, Molly Hopkins, Kelly Brown, Big Ed Brown, and Liz Woods. When it’s Yara’s turn to speak, she breaks down. Yara tells Jovi, “So you know, you always talking to have a second baby, and I always tell you I’m not ready…” Yara reveals she keeps avoiding Jovi by saying they’ll have the baby “another time.”

Yara Has Been On Birth Control Despite Wanting A Second Child

Yara proceeds to apologize to her husband.“I have been hiding from you. I’ve been taking birth control and I didn’t tell you about that,” Yara confesses. Jovi is disappointed, as his co-star Angela looks on shocked. He asks Yara, “But why would you not tell me that?” Jovi feels like that is something she should have discussed with him instead of starting birth control “behind his back.” Kalani jumps in to tell Jovi, “She should do whatever she wants with her body.” Yara starts to explain herself. “I was just thinking that it’s better that you gonna be mad at me than I gonna get pregnant and bring the baby to the world.”

Yara believes that their current relationship situation is not “healthy.” Jovi thinks Yara is accusing him of trying to get her pregnant without planning it together. Yara admits that’s exactly what she thought. “Yeah, because that’s what you saying that you want a baby.” Jovi replies, “I do wanna have a baby but I’m not going to intentionally get you pregnant when you don’t want to get pregnant.” Yara knows that if Jovi wants something he will make sure he gets it. He accepts that he can be adamant and pushy sometimes, but Yara has blindsided him.

Jovi is against Yara discussing their private matter in the group therapy session. Even if Yara thinks that it’s the point of them coming to 90 Day: The Last Resort, Jovi is hurt by Yara. He’s making it known. This could lead to a bigger argument between Yara and Jovi on the show. In fact, in a preview for the season, Yara is shown accusing Jovi of getting someone to their bed and texting a mystery woman.
