Welcome to Plathville Season 7 got a teaser about Ethan Plath and his new girlfriend, Teegan, this weekend. Fans will find out more about her on Tuesday this week when they tune in and watch on TLC. Despite not really knowing her, many fans are urging her to “run.” Read on to find out why.

Ethan Did Hard-Launch A GF

Well after Season 6 ended, Ethan hard-launched a girlfriend. The news arrived on Instagram in January this year. At the time, he didn’t tell anyone her name. Many fans thought she looked similar to his ex, Olivia Plath. They think the same about the woman shown in the teaser on Instagram this weekend.

Whether this is the same person or not isn’t clear but they do look very similar. The caption for the reel said:

A modern love story! 🤭 Meet Ethan’s girlfriend, Teegan, on #WelcomeToPlathville, Tuesday at 10/9c.

However, the reactions seem to be very mixed. In the teaser, Ethan told a producer that they met online. He’d shared a photo of his motorbike, she liked it, and he liked her. So, they hooked up. Notably, a lot of people think it’s a very bad idea to date a fan of the show.

Fans React To The Couple

So far this season, Welcome to Plathville fans saw that Veronica and Micah Plath have issues. Plus, Moriah is in the thick of it. Additionally, they saw that Ethan and others disapprove of Lydia Plath rushing things with Zac Wyse. She’d only known him for a while before they got together. In real life, fans already saw them tie the knot. But the focus shifts to Ethan this week.

Many fans are still divided over Olivia and Ethan. Those who support Olivia believe that she was in an emotionally abusive relationship. Meanwhile, her haters hope that Ethan Plath finds someone less independent. Naturally, that means there were plenty of mixed reactions in the comments.

Most Fans Urge Teegan To Run

While some supporters can’t stand Olivia and they think Ethan is a sweet man, not everyone has that opinion. In the comments section, the sentiment seems overwhelmingly slanted against him dating. One irritated TLC viewer said:
