The Truth Behind Welcome to Plathville Having No Episode 13 and Wrapping Up Season 8

According to our sources over at The Futon Critic , the most recent episode 12 of Welcome To Plathville’s current season 8 that aired last Tuesday night, June 16, 2026, was indeed the finale episode. So, TLC will not be airing a new episode of it tonight, June 23, 2026, and for an indefinite period of time after that.

TLC has yet to make an official announcement about renewing the show for a new season 9. So, we’re going to have to wait and see what they do in that regard.

According to USTVdB and their sources, the show averaged between 200,000 and 800,000 viewers per episode. So, it definitely did do pretty well for the network. We wouldn’t be surprised if TLC gave it a new season 9 renewal order.

In the meantime, TLC is telling us that they are going to air a special episode of Jay & Pamela in tonight’s empty time slot. The episode is titled, “Something Old & Something New.”

TLC’s official description for this special episode of Jay & Pamela reads like this, “Jay and Pamela race to get ready for their big wedding day, but health issues threaten to derail them. Meanwhile, their dream of finally moving out is put to the test. Pamela anxiously hopes her disapproving parents will finally accept her relationship.”

Again, the current season 8 of Welcome to Plathville has wrapped up. So, there will be no more new episodes of it for an indefinite period of time.
