Sister Wives: Robyn Pushed Off Kody’s Pedestal in Next One-on-One
ister Wives star Kody Brown said enough about Robyn Brown on the TLC series to lead her and everyone else to believe she is very special to him.
He bid good riddance to the wives who jumped ship. At the same time, he praised Robyn for all the things she brings to his table. But, as the One-on-One episodes roll out, it looks like Robyn wasn’t the only wife that Kody made feel rather special. It seems he played this role with the other wives as well.
Sister Wives: Kody Brown’s MO Unravels
What fans heard Kody Brown say on the show is a bit different from what he now says on the One-on-One episodes. When watching the Sister Wives Season 18 episodes, he seemed just fine with being a monogamous husband to Robyn Brown.
He also made it clear that he never had any husbandry-like love for his original three wives. The love he feels for his first three wives is different from the love he possesses for Robyn. He suggested during the Sister Wives One-on-One that if it looked any different, that’s because he faked it.
All this gushing about Robyn, along with all the negative feelings he shared about his other wives, likely gave Robyn a sense of security. But the more the man talks, who lacks any type of filter for his thoughts, the more fans realize he didn’t tell the whole story.
Robyn Brown – Not All That Special to Kody?
Kody went as far as saying nobody can come between him and Robyn, not even his kids. So, he made his stand a while back about this. But during the Sister Wives One-on-One episodes, he seems to contradict himself.
Hmmmm, so Kody says in the tell all that he can’t be vulnerable with anyone but Robyn. He just makes it up as he goes S15 E9 #SisterWives pic.twitter.com/6so0NhZJaG

This is when the other ladies had their say as well. So, it appears while he claimed that he never loved the other women, they didn’t seem to notice. Or at least not for a big chunk of time during their marriage. The ladies felt love from Kody, both in and out of the bedroom. This seems especially true when it comes to Janelle Brown.
He led viewers to believe that Janelle was more like his best buddy than a woman he desires in bed. This was something fans believed through most of the Sister Wives seasons.
But his second wife broke her silence on this when she shared with Sukanya Krishnan, the One-on-One interviewer, that she and Kody had a good thing going in the bedroom. So, it looks like Robyn Brown learned that she wasn’t exactly special in that department, which the shared husband led viewers to believe. And likely Robyn believed as well.
Sister Wives: Robyn Up Against the Three Exes?
Kody made it sound as if he was not only done with Christine Brown, but over any hurt feelings about her as well. Still, recently, it looks like Kody became more jealous over losing Christine Brown than he is happy to be rid of her.
Robyn Brown heard her husband’s take on the wives who left him. But now she learns the other side of those stories as his ex-wives talk during the One-on-One segments.
Kody put himself in a humiliating scene when suggesting Christine made him look bad to snag David Woolley. In his mind, he seemed to insert himself as important into Christine’s life, long after she left him.
Many fans saw this as a sign of jealousy. Then, of course, there’s Meri Brown. Despite Kody saying one thing on camera, he said something else to Meri. At one point, he even asked her if they could keep this to themselves, according to Meri Brown.
He toasted a “new beginning” with Meri on their wedding anniversary a couple of years back. But he still kept her at arm’s length on the show. He finally faced her at the end of this season to say they were done.
Kody Wants to Keep Them… But On a Shelf
Sister Wives fans see Kody as a man who can’t stand the thought of one wife leaving him, never mind three. His jealousy seems very clear to the viewers of this show.
So, now it looks like Robyn is left with a husband who was very much into his marriages with his other wives, despite downplaying those unions. To many of the Sister Wives fans, his behavior is proof of this.
Today, viewers suggest he may have tried to appease Robyn Brown by making her his one and only. She may say she wants a shared husband, but some think that might not be the case.
Sister Wives: Monogamy Always the End Goal?
From Robyn Brown’s behavior through the years, some people think monogamy is what she strived for all along. One of those naysayers happens to be Christine Brown, she thinks Robyn wanted monogamy all along. She tells this to Sukanya Krishnan, in the next Sister Wives One-on-One. This would explain Kody seemingly playing on both sides of the fence.
His last-ditch attempts at keeping his estranged wives close to him offer evidence of this. Janelle still planned to build and live on Coyote Pass during this season. So, she’d be nearby. Then he offered Christine Brown to build a house on Coyote Pass and move in there with her new husband.
Finally, he offered to put Meri Brown into storage above his garage in an apartment he plans to build there. Now Robyn Brown gets to keep Kody all to herself. But while Kody Brown insists no love is lost with his other wives leaving, Robyn Brown likely faces Kody Brown’s jealousy over losing three ladies he loved for the last three decades, despite what he says.
Still, some Sister Wives fans think he just couldn’t let them go because of his ego. But then another camp believes the paychecks were the draw to keep them around.
All three of these ladies contributed their paychecks to the family’s shared finances. But now with them gone, three good-sized salaries went along with them. So, except for the salary they draw from the TLC series, Sister Wives patriarch finds himself with one unemployed wife.
