Sister Wives viewers are well aware of how Caleb never really got an easy deck of cards. He has been battling with serious health issues for years, and even Janelle Brown opened up about it in 2018. She revealed that Caleb had miraculously survived a double pulmonary embolism. Apparently, it is something that could have claimed his life in the blink of an eye.

Janelle took to X (formerly Twitter) at the time, calling Caleb nothing short of a “walking miracle.” She recalled the time when doctors warned that if Caleb had gone home and drifted off to sleep that night, he wouldn’t even have woken up again. Hence, it clearly was a close call. And there is no doubt why his family considers him to be a walking miracle.

Maddie Brush recently dropped some bombshells about her husband, Caleb Brush, during a recent Q&A session. When one of Sister Wives viewers asked if the couple planned to have more kids, Janelle’s daughter didn’t beat around the bush. She revealed that her husband was battling chronic kidney disease. She recounted how life got really “dicey” between February and May.

Hence, Maddie decided to put her dreams of expanding her family on pause while she admitted that her kids were her favorite “people.” As soon as viewers heard about the severity of Caleb’s health, they naturally wondered whether a kidney transplant was on the horizon. This is when Maddie further set the record straight. She revealed that Caleb’s kidney function is currently at 24%, so thankfully, a transplant isn’t needed right now.

But she cautioned that if it dips to 20%, a transplant would be the only lifeline, and they would have to start searching for one. Hence, there is a fair chance that Caleb would have to undergo a kidney transplant if things get out of their hands. But Maddie wasn’t ready to lose hope at all.
