Sister Wives’ Gwendlyn Drags Kody For Ignoring While Gabriel’s Already Clocked Out
Sister Wives may have started as a reality television show set to bring the polygamous family of Kody Brown to the screens, but it has brought a lot more than just that to the screens. To put it lightly, the series hasn’t held back on the dramatic element as it pulled back the curtain on the toxicity and flaws of the Brown family members, especially that of the male patriarch.
While three of his wives have already separated from him due to the reported toxic behavior he displayed, it seems that Kody might not even be able to mend his relationship with some of his kids. This comes to light especially after his daughter, Gwendlyn, dragged him for ignoring her. Not to mention, even Gabriel confirmed he won’t be reconciling with his father.
Sister Wives‘ Gwendlyn is getting candid about her disappointment with Kody
Of all the people Kody Brown has disappointed on Sister Wives, it seems like he didn’t spare his kids. This is evident from how Gwendlyn Brown, the daughter he shares with his ex-wife Christine, has been openly vocal about her disappointment with her father while coming clean about why she no longer shares a strong relationship with him.
This happened during an episode of season 18 of the reality television show, when she was sharing a meal with her brothers, Gabe Brown and the late Garrison Brown, with Christine and Janelle Brown. During this meal, a lot of things were discussed, especially Kody and Robyn’s relationship at length. This was when Gwendlyn dragged her father for ignoring her (via ScreenRant).

Sharing how she feels there’s a disparity between the way he feels about and treats his older children and the younger kids he shares with Robyn, she exclaimed, “Oh my god, imagine your father loving you.” She went on to say that she had never known that sort of relationship with Kody, the way that his younger kids have, though she felt happy for them.
That said, even though Kody claimed he was trying to reach out to his older kids as well and reconcile and get back on good terms with them, it feels like he will have to put in the extra effort with Gwendlyn. This is because she, for one, has clearly hinted how she sincerely doesn’t feel like her father loves her, which is a sad reality.
Meanwhile, Kody has already fallen out with Gabriel in Sister Wives
On the one hand, while Gwendlyn is one to have openly shared and discussed her issues with her dad pointing out how she feels he is more interested in being a father to his five kids with Robyn, on the other hand, Gabriel, Kody’s son with Janelle, has openly admitted that he has no intention of reconciling with his father after having fallen out with him.
During an episode of season 19 of the show (via Starcasm), Gabriel explained how frustrated he was with his father, revealing,
(Kody) was like, hey, I miss you. And then he was like, he kept phrasing it like I owed him an apology. And eventually, I was just like, hey, unless you’re like, actually ready to have a relationship and fix things, then we’re not going to talk anymore.

That’s not all. Continuing in the episode, Gabriel didn’t mince his words as he emphasized how he had told Kody that if he wasn’t willing to “change” and “take accountability,” then “I just won’t ever see him again and I’m perfectly OK with that. I truly believe it would take an “act of God” to fix things.“
As brutal as that sounds, Kody Brown has long impaired his relationship with his other wives and older children and has already painted his picture as pretty much a horrible father so far. That said, it doesn’t quite come as a surprise that both Gabriel and Gwendolyn have been estranged from their father. What remains to be seen, though, is whether this daughter-son and father pair ever ends up reconciling or not.
