In it, she shares several secrets from her life. From her childhood to her married life with Kody, the reality TV star has revealed it all. While we expected her to criticize Kody in the book, there were certain aspects we did not anticipate.

In her memoir, Christine candidly opened up about her addiction to painkillers. Yes, you read that right, at one point, Christine struggled with an addiction to painkillers, and now she openly shares her experiences in detail. The reality TV star shared that in 2016, she started taking oxycodone after her knee surgery. Things got so bad that she became addicted to it, and her kids had to jerk her back into reality.

Christine Brown Woolley is spilling major tea in her memoir Sister Wife: A Memoir of Faith, Family, and Finding Freedom. She revealed that Kody forced the family to move to Flagstaff in 2018 by lying that the Oakland Raiders were relocating. Yup, that’s the excuse he gave.

In reality, he just wanted to be near Robyn’s son, Dayton, who got into college there. Christine said Kody also played the morality and school safety card to scare them. She and Janelle never wanted to leave Las Vegas, but Kody pushed them anyway, leaving Christine furious.

Sister Wives star Christine Brown had a difficult life while she was married to Kody. However, now that she is free from his clutches, she can finally express her views and look back at the time when she was at her lowest. Christine admitted in her recent memoir that at one point, she was addicted to painkillers. She even revealed that she had never taken a drug before.

However, when she broke her knee and had to undergo surgery, the doctor prescribed her strong medicines to recover. Kody brought her back from the hospital but never explained the entire after-care routine to her. He just gave her the pills and left. Her life after surgery was quite daunting as she had the flu and was aching from head to toe. At that point, she decided to take oxycodone. After taking that medicine, she realized how it took away her pain.

It not only soothed her knee pain but also relieved her overall pain. It was the best high she had ever felt. With that medicine, she felt as though she could achieve anything in the world. Just 45 minutes after the high, she would feel sad and focus only on retaking the medicine. Soon, she became addicted. Her daughter, Maddie, pulled her back to reality, highlighting how she had become a mess.

Her family missed her and urged her to come back to reality. Soon, she started fighting her addiction and even told Kody about it. She broke the pills in half and reduced her dose. Ultimately, she stopped taking them. She battled addiction for a month, but the repercussions lingered for six more months. Now, she is glad she got over her addiction.
