Robyn Brown weeps after reunion with Christine for Mykelti’s birth in ‘Sister Wives’: EXCLUSIVE

Christine and Robyn Brown put their differences aside to unite for a special occasion in an upcoming episode of “Sister Wives,” and TODAY.com has an exclusive first look of the bittersweet moment.

Filmed in November 2022, the clip follows the reality stars as they witness the birth of Mykelti Padron’s twin sons.

Both were also present during the birth of Padron’s first child — Christine Brown was in the delivery room and Robyn Brown called in over Zoom.

Padron is the biological daughter of Christine and Kody Brown and has maintained a relationship with Robyn Brown, even after Christine Brown made the decision to leave her plural marriage in 2021.

Kody Brown sets the scene at the beginning of the clip saying, “Robyn and Christine are together. I don’t know how much they’re interacting. I don’t know what the experience will be like.”

In a confessional interview, Padron applauds Robyn and Chrisine Brown for keeping the peace as she celebrates the arrival of her sons.

“They’re not here for each other. They’re not here for anybody else, They’re here for me,” she says. “So it’s very honoring, humbling and super special because this is one of the most incredible and memorable moments of my life. And to be able to share it with my moms I think is really important to me.”

The scene then shifts to a confessional interview with Robyn Brown, who recalls her presence at the birth of Padron’s sons.

“I was handed Archer first and it was just love at first sight. At the same time, Christine was holding Ace. And so it was kind of like we were…,” she says and gets emotional.

After a long pause, the reality star continues her thought and says, “We were just holding our grandbabies together.”

Holding back tears, Robyn Brown reflects on the moment and its place in the history of her family.

“I just wish it was under different circumstances as far as Christine and I are concerned. And it was kind of sweet because for a moment I could just forget all that,” she says.

Recent seasons of “Sister Wives” have explored Christine and Robyn Brown’s rocky relationship. During Season 17, Christine Brown suggested that Kody Brown preferred Robyn Brown, his fourth wife, over his other three wives.

“That’s just what it comes down to. I think he has a favorite wife and that’s why all of this is like it is. And apparently I’m not treating her well enough, so there’s nothing I can do. I mean, honestly, what he’s asking from me is ridiculous,” she said at the time.

During a “Sister Wives: One on One” special that followed Season 18 in 2023, Kody Brown said he was only “in love” with Robyn.

“I fell in love with Robyn. I never fell in love with anybody else. I was just choosing to be in that covenant of love with them,” he said.

Robyn Brown was the last wife to join Kody Brown’s plural marriage in 2014. Before that, he was already married to Meri, Janelle and Christine Brown. As of 2024, he is only married to Robyn Brown.

Robyn Brown has struggled openly with the dissolution of the family unit.

“We’re in different places about the bomb that went off on our family. I’m in a major place of mourning and he’s angry,’” she said of her relationship with Kody during the “Sister Wives: One on One Special” in 2023.

Today, Christine Brown says she’s not in regular touch with Robyn Brown, but she’s been supportive of her daughter’s relationship with her.

“When Kody and Robyn were courting, Robyn just saw that Mykelti just wasn’t treated very nice by her older siblings. They didn’t know what to do with her,” Christine Brown said during Season 18. “Robyn saw it and Robyn just said, ‘She’s super cool and she’s amazing.’ She really took Mykelti in and just loved her. She’s definitely been like another mom to Mykelti.”

Last season, Kody Brown also expressed how happy he was that Padron was still close with him and Robyn Brown despite the ongoing tension in their family at large.

“Amidst all the struggles we’re having as a family, I love that Mykelti is still warm to us. She wants a relationship with Robyn. She wants us to have a relationship with Avalon,” he said in a confessional interview. “I think a lot of that has to do with Tony (Padron, her husband). Tony loves Robyn and they’ve always had a connection.”
