Olivia Plath’s Version Of Credit Card Drama, Lies Or Bad Edits?
Welcome to Plathville fans saw that Olivia Plath accused the mom of her husband, Ethan of credit card fraud, and now she’s telling her truth on social media. In Season 5, the kids all turned their backs on the outsider. Siding with Kim and Barry, there’s a lot of drama on the TLC show.
Olivia Plath, Ethan, And Moriah Clashed
The accusations against Kim as seen on TLC alleged that she used Ethan’s credit card without his permission. That came after their daughter-in-law claimed that Barry’s ex refused to reimburse him. Fury erupted when the family heard that Ethan’s wife helped him with a new password which locked KIm out of the account. At the time, Kim claimed that it was a simple business arrangement. The kids, Micah, Moriah, Lydia, and Isaac believed that there was no fraud as the arrangement had been agreed on by the family.
Moriah got so heated in Season 5, that she left the home of Ethan and Olivia Plath where she’d been staying. Naturally, he was shocked to find just a note bidding them farewell. Right now, there’s a lot of drama and her sister-in-law felt aggrieved when she got back from Europe as everyone ganged together and pretty much shunned her. Meanwhile, Barry Plath claimed that she had “brainwashed” his eldest son. However, she won’t remain silent and shared her side of the story ahead of the weekend.
Welcome To Plathville Olivia Plath Tells Her Version
Taking to her TikTok, the controversial reality TV star spoke out about the accusations on TLC. You can view her video further down in this article. In summary, she raised the following background points:
- Fans didn’t see her full story on TLC because of “episode time” limits.
- Too many people make up their own theories of what happened, so she decided to speak out.
- When “Ethan was about 16, Kim signed him up to be part of an MLM company.”
- He “wasn’t allowed to access a computer [to] change any passwords.”
- Things got ugly a week after she and Ethan tied the knot.
Olivia Plath then alleged that Kim made her son buy all of his toiletries from that “specific [MLM] company.” Next, the Welcome to Plathville star claimed that his mom set his account for auto-delivery. That meant “every month he received a box,” and his “card was charged.” Talking about the MLM downline, the TLC star explained: “The more purchases made in a downline, the more it bumps you up.” The allegation also included Kim not doing well, so she used Ethan’s account to make “really large purchases.”
TLC Star Changes The Password
Olivia Plath related that allegedly, Kim told Ethan it would be good for everyone if she spent the money on purchases. Then she would pay him back half of it and they would then get “bumped up.” However, after they married, Ethan didn’t want the parcels but he couldn’t cancel it because he didn’t know his password. And, it cost him “$70 every month.” Next, Kim gave Olivia the password, maybe thinking she wanted to buy something and when she saw all the goods Ethan was paying for that he wasn’t getting, including the 50 percent refund, she changed the password.
Ethan apparently had a “light bulb moment” when Olivia Plath expressed her views that it was basically “stealing.” So, when Kim called back for the new password, Olivia said, “No.” Then a firey exchange took place. between her and Barry and his wife, they accused her of interfering in the kids’ lives. Ethan’s wife felt “bullied” into revealing the password but she refused and reminded them it was basically fraud and she could “report” it. Allegedly Kim ranted and “stormed out the house.”
TLC Fans React to Alleged Non-Payment Of Goods
The story continued with the TLC star alleging that she and Ethan made an itemized invoice and sent it to KIm, giving her “45 days to refund him” for goods he didn’t buy and never got. She refused to pay and allegedly put out the word that her daughter-in-law was suing them over the kids. Apparently, it all happened between “seasons 1 and 2,” Anyway, she claimed that the producers of the show wanted her to drop it, and she refused. Could that be why from Season 2 onward, Olivia got bad edits?
In the comments, one viewer said, “I think it will be years and years for the Plath kids to fully process the abuse they endured. I’m sorry you’re going through this too. Sending you ♥️.”
Another one told her, “So glad u clarified this. I honestly don’t want to watch this next season bc of how they are trying to make u the villain.”
