Sister Wives’ Janelle opens ‘dream’ farm 2,000 miles from Kody Brown

Sister Wives is back this fall with brand new episodes. As season 19 unfolds, fans are let in on the latest goings-on of Kody, Janelle, Christine, Meri, and Robyn Brown. When the TV show first started, Kody was either legally or spiritually married to all four women. Now, his relationships have broken down with three out of four of his wives.
As the Brown family’s dynamics twist and turn, Janelle Brown shares an exciting development in her life this September. Sister Wives season 19 episode 2 sees the star looking at property with her daughter, Madison.
Maddie and Janelle look at property
Janelle recently listed her late son, Garrison Brown’s, home for sale.
A couple of years back, while filming Sister Wives season 19, Janelle was looking at property herself. As fans are transported back in time, Maddie is six months pregnant and she’s keen to move away from Arizona with her mom and family.
Janelle explains how her daughter, Maddie, and son-in-law, Caleb, are considering moving West.
She adds: “We’ve been dreaming about buying a piece of property, as we were driving across we found a couple of listings not far from Salt Lake,” so she and Maddie take a look at the land.
Christine explains: “Basically if Maddie and Caleb buy property, then Janelle was talking about moving with them.”

Janelle tells the cameras: “Kody and I are not in communication, our relationship is over but we both still live in Flagstaff. Yeah, there’s not been an official divorce, I don’t know how to get one and I don’t need one.”
Janelle says she doesn’t want to be neighbors with Robyn and Kody as she opts to move her life to be closer to her kids.
Maddie thinks it’s “smart” for her mom to move away from Flagstaff.

Introducing Taeda farms
Sister Wives fans are taken along for the ride and Janelle and Maddie begin living out their “dream” of living on a farm. Janelle says: “I love this property.”
The TLC star describes the first location as “really great” as it was “about five hours from Christine in Salt Lake.”
She adds: “That’s really the core group of the family. There’s no contact really with Meri, Robyn, or Kody. I don’t really foresee that’s going to change much.”
The piece of Montana land came with a river running through it and a lake close by.
“We’re not farmers, we’re not ranchers but we want to live that rural lifestyle,” adds Janelle.
The reality TV star didn’t opt for the Montana land in the end. Maddie confirms on Instagram, the property they settled on is in “Eastern NC.”
Janelle, Maddie, and Caleb have named their farm ‘Taeda Farms’. It’s a flower farm, and the Sister Wives stars went on to explain the name meaning.
Taking to Instagram they wrote: “The name Taeda came from the Latin word for Loblolly pine “Taeda Pinus.”
“In Latin, Taeda primarily means ‘torch’ or ‘pinewood used for torches,’ it was often used in the context of torches for ceremonies, such as weddings, where it symbolized light, warmth, and unity.”
Fans take to a Reddit thread over the farm and its name. Many share how happy they are to see Janelle “living her dream.”
One writes: “This is fantastic. It makes so much sense for her…”
