It appears Kody Brown is finally accepting that Janelle has truly moved on from their relationship. This marks a shift from previous instances where he seemed to place blame on Christine for influencing Janelle’s decisions.
“Everything’s A Test”: Kody Brown Visits Janelle Brown’s New Apartment
Janelle Brown is embracing her independence, and her new apartment symbolizes this fresh chapter. In a preview of the upcoming “Sister Wives” episode airing on November 5th, we see Janelle welcoming Kody into her new space, which she shares with their daughter Savannah.
“I guess in a way this has been a nice space because he’s not ever been into this space,” Janelle shares in the preview. “So, it feels like it’s kind of my space. I’ve sort of liked having it as kind of my little sanctuary.”
Kody Brown Admits “There’s No Room For Me” In Janelle’s New Apartment
While Kody congratulated Janelle on her new home, he felt uneasy helping her settle in.
“I don’t know how weird this is,” he reveals in a confessional after Janelle asks for his help hanging artwork. “I mean, maybe it’s just a test. ‘Hey, will you come over and hang pictures?’ ‘Sure, OK.’ I mean, I’ve been married to four women. Everything’s a test. ‘Pick me, pick me. Do something for me. Do something for me.’ That’s what plural marriage can feel like sometimes.”
The visit seemed to bring Kody to the realization that his relationship with Janelle is indeed over, mirroring his situations with Meri and Christine. While he may not have deeply mourned the departures of Meri and Christine, he genuinely misses Janelle and had hoped for a reconciliation.
“I like this place,” Kody admits. “The other apartment was pretty cramped. But it’s just dawning on me that maybe the whole reason Janelle moved here was because the other apartment was our place. You know, I was living there with her, and she’s moved here and it doesn’t look like I’ll be living here with her.”
He further acknowledges, “It’s her apartment. It’s not ours. But there’s no room for me. It’s not about me and her. I honestly don’t know why she’s showing me other than, well, I mean, our daughter lives there.”
Currently, Kody is practicing monogamy with Robyn, though many fans are skeptical about its longevity.
