CUTTING TIES Sister Wives’ Kody Brown shuts down family company just days after ex Christine marries David Woolley
SISTER Wives patriarch Kody Brown has shut down the family company just days after his ex-wife Christine married new husband David Woolley.
Christine, 51, married David, 59, in a romantic Utah ceremony on Saturday, October 7, as she continues to be on bad terms with her ex Kody, 54.
The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal Kody filed to shut down the family’s business Kody Brown Family Entertainment, LLC on October 8, 2023.
Annual reports had been filed yearly from 2019 up until January 2023.
Kody, Meri, 52, Janelle, 54, Christine and Robyn, 45, were all listed as managers of the business.
Despite the business being dissolved in Nevada, the company license is still active in Arizona, where he currently lives.
Kody also runs Dabsark Entertainment, LLC, with his only wife left, Robyn, as the company stands for their and their five children’s initials.
After Christine split from Kody, she started Just Christine, LLC on February 10, 2022, Utah business records reveal.
She also launched Plexus With Christine, LLC on May 17, 2022.
CHRISTINE’S NEXT CHAPTER
The dissolved family business comes after Christine married David at Red Cliffs Lodge in Moab, Utah on Saturday after getting engaged in April.
Red Cliffs Lodge is surrounded by views of majestic, 2,000-foot red cliffs and the Colorado River.
Christine’s intimate ceremony included 300 guests who enjoyed the stunning views.
An insider previously told The U.S. Sun that the outdoor wedding was an all-day affair with set up beginning in the early hours of the morning and guests arriving in the afternoon.
The wedding was filmed by TLC cameras, a source previously confirmed to The U.S. Sun, for Sister Wives or a potential spinoff show.
Christine told People: “It’s a fairytale. It’s everything I never thought I would have. I get to walk down the aisle to David, him just looking at me the way that he does, it’s a dream come true.”
According to People, Christine’s son Paedon, and her father, Rex, escorted her down the aisle.
Christine has six children with Kody: Aspyn, 28; Mykelti, 27; Paedon, 25; Gwendlyn, 21; Ysabel, 20; and Truely, 13.
David is a father to eight children.
A source told The U.S. Sun that Christine’s former spouse and his last-standing wife, Robyn, skipped the nuptials.
Ex-sister wife, Janelle was in attendance, while Meri was snubbed from the special day.
SAD SPLIT
Christine announced her split from Kody in November 2021, as she moved to Utah with their daughter, Truely.
She expressed her unhappiness in the family on Sister Wives, as Kody spent the majority of his time at Robyn’s home because she was the only wife who would follow his strict Covid rules.
Christine said on the episode where the wives were picking their parcels of land to build homes on: “The best that I can give today is to just pretend. I don’t want to move onto the property, I want to move back to Utah.
“Why would I want to live on the same property with a dysfunctional marriage where right over there he’s got a fully-functioning marriage? Who would ever want to live like that?”
Christine said on another episode: “I feel like to Kody, Robyn is more important… I agreed to be a sister wife, but I agreed to be an equal wife.”
She told him in a separate scene: “It’s been heartbreaking being your wife for years.”
In the last scene, Kody screamed at Christine with the other wives around him: “You never tried to have a good relationship with these people and that’s the reason I’m pissed off.
“Just a knife in the kidneys after all these years. Sacrifices that I’ve made to love you!”
The U.S. Sun reported Christine signed over the parcel in her name to Kody and Robyn for $10 on July 28, 2022.
ANOTHER WIFE OUT
Kody’s second wife Janelle also left him, as their marital issues are airing on the current season of Sister Wives.
In an episode this season, Kody accused her of not following his Covid-19 rules and not forcing their children to follow his strict guidelines.
Janelle defended that her family was not given his list of rules and that they followed the CDC’s guidelines.
She also refused to kick their sons out of her home because of their unwillingness to follow the rules, as Kody used that as the reason he stayed with Robyn during the pandemic and after.
When their sons confronted Robyn over not seeing their father, Kody demanded they apologize, causing the family to not be together on Christmas.
Janelle continued post-fight: “It feels like Kody and I are no longer going to be a couple. It was that dramatic. There had been so much build-up. The words were very harsh, but the feeling was, we’re done.
“It took me a half hour to overcome the shock of the conversation. I called him and I said: ‘Come get your stuff.’ In my mind, he’s out of the house.
“He feels like he can’t leave a wife because it’s bad on him… So his pattern seems to be he ignores that person. He wants you to say it’s over because he doesn’t want the responsibility of being the husband who says: ‘I don’t want to be married anymore.’”
Though Kody has attempted to reconcile with Janelle on the show, she announced their split in December 2022.
As for Meri, she officially announced her split from Kody in January after years of being just friends.
Kody remains legally married to Robyn, whom he has been living with primarily since the pandemic.
