Sister Wives star Mykelti revealed that while her parents were punishing her, only Robyn Brown supported and helped her. She revealed that Robyn was breaking her walls and was helping her speak out. Mykelti admitted that many people don’t like Robyn, but she really liked her because of the way she was able to talk to her without getting in trouble.
Mykelti said, “She went to my dad and she was like, ‘This is not OK. You guys handled this wrong.” She revealed that Robyn confronted Kody and told her that Mykelti needed help and she needs to be rescued. The celeb added, “So, it was like a big thing for me like, ‘OK so there’s this person who came into my family that’s here to protect me.”

Sister Wives star Mykelti recently appeared on the Cults to Consciousness podcast and revealed that there was a “no tattle-telling policy” in her house. She added, “Tattle-telling, that was one of the biggest traumatizing things.” The celeb claimed that this rule applied to every Brown kid, even when they were in a life and death situation. Hence, when she told Christine and Kody about the abuse she faced, she was punished!
Mykelti revealed that in her childhood, one of their neighbors’ kids touched her inappropriately. She didn’t want to reveal the full extent because she still felt she hadn’t emotionally healed enough to talk about it. Mykelti told the host that she had told her parents about it and ended up getting into some serious trouble. The instance traumatized her to the extent that she stopped sharing anything and everything with her parents just to save herself from the trouble.
Mykelti said, “I stopped telling my mom things, to such a degree that I could have been saved a lot of hurt, a lot of emotional damage and pain.” She explained how the kid who committed the bad deed was less in trouble than the kid who suffered the abuse.
