Big Ed caught sliding into Olivia Plath’s DMs but she’s still married to estranged husband Ethan
90 Day fiancé’s Big Ed is trying his luck once more, sliding into the DMs of fellow reality star Olivia Plath.
Fans nearly got a collaboration no-one knew they needed, or wanted, when 90 Day Fiancé‘s Big Ed slid into the DM’s of Welcome to Plathville star Olivia Plath. Olivia said the “problematic figure” tried to hit her up, despite the fact she’s not fully divorced from estranged husband Ethan.

While featuring on the October 1 episode of The Sarah Fraser Show podcast, The Plathviller was asked if she’s ever been hit-up by anyone famous.
“Let me let you guess — it’s from another show that I’m pretty sure you’ve covered, and a pretty, I would say a pretty problematic figure, that just loves to like to get in relationships with girls abroad and send them lots of money,” she responded.
It’s not too hard to guess the show, and let’s face it, the celeb that Olivia was referencing. Big Ed is known for his controversial and often messy on-screen romances within the 90 Day Fiancé franchise.
Originally Ed fell in love with Filipina Rose Vega the pair inevitably split after Ed gave Rose a series of put-downs such as buying her a dental kit for her “not pretty” breath. Rude. He’s faced more trying relationship struggles with Liz Woods who he met in his favorite restaurant.
Most recently, the 59-year-old got engaged for the fourth time after knowing his fiancé for just 24 hours. Unsurprisingly, the engagement lasted about as long as the courtship.
Despite Olivia confirming that she exchanged messages with the fifth-times-the-charm Lothario, she didn’t reveal any extra gossip about what went down.
“I did respond because he was just telling me all kinds of stuff,” she revealed. “I just said, ‘Yeah you like the view?’”
Olivia and Ethan halt divorce proceedings by ‘playing games’
Big Ed ain’t the only one playing the proverbial field, all this DMing went down when Olivia isn’t even divorced yet!
“So as, like, the beginning of this season showed last year, I was trying to get divorced. I was trying to get Ethan to sign paperwork,” Plath reflected on season 6 of the TLC show. Before she revealed: “However, he didn’t want to fill out all the paperwork. He didn’t want to fill out the financial part of the paperwork.”
“I was like, ‘Well, if he’s not filling it out, I can’t fill it out.’ I’m not coming to court being like, ‘Yeah, I’m making all this money and he’s not making any money’ … We’re not playing this game.”
Seems they are both playing a strange game here, as their divorce proceedings got “flagged by the courts” that they need to be “finalized and fixed.”
The Plathville couple had been married for five years before announcing their divorce in October 2023, however, proceedings were initiated months before in February. The former couple cited the “irretrievable breakdown” of the marriage as the reason for their split.
Olivia continues to feel “so frustrated for how this process is playing out.”
