90 Day Fiancé Season 12 star Paula Barbosa is setting the record straight after weeks of speculation about her gender identity.
Fans have gotten to know Paula on Season 12 of 90 Day Fiancé, where she has moved from São Paulo, Brazil, to Los Angeles to marry her fiancé, Thomas Dintino. Since the couple’s debut, 90 Day Fiancé fans have taken to Paula’s social media comments, questioning whether she is transgender.
Making it clear that her gender identity is no one’s business, Paula posted a video, which you can watch below, answering an Instagram Q&A question: “Are you a trans woman?”
In the video, Paula posed in a magenta suit jacket, writing, “Yes. 1 – Transformative. 2 – Transcontinental. 3 – Transcendental. 4 – Transmutation. 5 – Transfixing.”
In the caption, Paula further explained, “Yes. And I am trans in ways the dictionary never imagined. Transformative, because I rebuilt an entire market, and rebuilt myself in the process. Transcontinental, because my name and my work do not stop at borders. Transcend, because I left the Matrix. My frequency changed, and so did everything around me. Transmutation, because I turn the smallest things into empires. That is quantum physics, not luck. Transfixing, because my energy is magnetic, and what is mine always finds its way to me.”
She concluded, “I am a magical being living in this planet in a woman body and Im proud of it.”
In the comments, fellow Season 12 star Marissa Rubinetti showed her support to Paula, telling her costar, “You are all woman, beautiful, intelligent and strong!!!!!”
This season, Paula and Thomas have come to realize that their opposites-attract relationship may be a little more difficult to manage now that they are living together. Fans can also still look forward to the arrival of Paula’s family. TLC teases, “When Paula’s family arrives from Brazil and voices major red flags about Thomas’s stubborn, childish ways, she’s forced to question whether love can overcome their wildly different approaches to life.”
