They welcomed two kids and weren’t able to properly raise them. Hence, Child Protective Services in June 2022 took both of their sons and placed them in foster care.
Paul and Karine’s divorce might have been finalized now, but they have been living apart for a while. Apparently, they aren’t even in the same country these days. Several sources have confirmed that Paul is currently in Brazil, while Karine is in the US. Hence, it is evident that a lot has changed since the time they debuted in the reality TV world.

90 Day Fiance stars Paul Staehle and Karine have officially parted ways. TMZ recently obtained court documents and revealed that their case closed on April 13. This came after Karine decided to finally file a petition to dissolve her marriage. Apparently, the celeb filed for it back in February 2026 while she and Paul have been living apart for more than 60 days now.
As per the documents, Paul and Karine have already been separated for more than a year. The judge reviewed the entire case and realized that this couple’s marriage was actually “irretrievably broken.” The documents further noted, “there was no reasonable prospect of reconciliation.”
The source then revealed that Paul and Karine had a “settlement agreement” back in January. They were in Brazil at that time and filed with the court in Jefferson County, Kentucky. However, the court’s documents didn’t include details about the kind of agreement they signed while in Brazil.
Well, viewers believe this was for all the good reasons. A user wrote, “So this is good news!
