THIS IS THE SHOCKING REASON WHY LOGAN SHUNNED BY KODY
Sister Wives: Did Kody Shun Logan Out of Jealousy?
Hey Sister Wives fans, let’s dive into a situation where Kody Brown seems to have stumbled yet again—this time involving his eldest son, Logan Brown. Before we get into the specifics of Kody’s behavior toward Logan, let’s remember Kody’s claims on the latest episode about his commitment to repairing his family relationships.

Kody Brown: Obsessed with Setting Things Right?
In recent episodes, we’ve seen Kody Brown addressing the camera, speaking about his supposed attempts to mend fences with his estranged children. Until Janelle chimed in later, we only had Kody’s word to go on. However, at Garrison’s funeral, Kody’s actions involving Logan raised some eyebrows.
Kody paints a picture of himself actively trying to reconcile with his grown children. This narrative is partly based on his conversation with Robyn about visiting his “girls” in Utah, presumably referring to his daughters with Christine Brown.
The Sister Wives patriarch also mentioned seeing his sons by “another mother,” which we understand to mean his sons with Janelle Brown.
Kody Reports Back to Robyn
Some of the most heart-wrenching scenes from Sister Wives covered Garrison’s passing. The raw pain felt by everyone was palpable and difficult for many viewers to witness. Kody, on the other hand, appeared focused on finding a way to cope with the situation, especially considering his reported estrangement from Garrison at the time of his death.

Part of Kody’s coping strategy seemed to involve a solo trip to Utah, taken before the funeral. It appeared that Garrison’s death spurred Kody to address the issues with his remaining children. We learned about this trip through Kody’s report to Robyn, where he presented it as a success. However, in a later episode, Janelle offered a different perspective on the supposed reunion tour he had bragged about to Robyn.
Janelle indicated that Kody remained estranged from many family members even after this trip, including at Garrison’s funeral. The interactions between Kody and his children at the funeral service seemed to support Janelle’s account.
Most of the adult Sister Wives kids seemed to ignore him at the cemetery, except for his eldest son, Logan Brown.
Logan Brown: A Son Who Never Spoke Ill of His Father Publicly
Before we delve into the interaction between Logan and Kody at the funeral, it’s important to note something. Several of the estranged Sister Wives children have been quite vocal about their feelings.
Paedon Brown, Gwendlyn Brown, and Gabriel Brown are just a few who have openly discussed their father on television and social media. Many of the Sister Wives children have expressed their opinions about Kody and Robyn in no uncertain terms.
It’s crucial to remember that Logan has never publicly criticized Kody on social media, unlike some of his siblings. He has never said anything to embarrass or upset his father. Throughout the seasons of Sister Wives, Logan has consistently been portrayed as a respectful and loving son to Kody and Janelle. While the children generally adore their mothers, their issues have primarily been with their father, Kody.
Sister Wives: Logan Shunned by Kody
So, what exactly happened between Logan and Kody at the funeral that has sparked so much discussion? It was a brief moment, easily missed, but significant nonetheless. During the funeral service, Kody climbed into the hole prepared for Garrison’s urn. Janelle then handed the urn to Kody, who was about knee-deep in the hole.
After carefully placing Garrison’s urn in the ground, Kody began to climb out of the hole. As he did, Logan reached out to Kody and offered his assistance, saying, “Let me give you a hand, Dad.”

And Kody just looked at him and proceeded to climb out of the hole using the sides of the grave. It’s like he didn’t even see Logan or hear him. He didn’t take Logan’s hand or even acknowledge that his oldest son was standing right there.
Some fans speculated that Kody’s rebuff of Logan’s help was due to Kody attempting to absolve himself in front of everyone from the animosity between father and son, and/or to reinforce his narrative of reconciliation. Others thought it was just wishful thinking.
Another Sister Wives fan doubted Kody’s dream about Garrison ever happened, and suggested that the other Brown children likely felt the same.
This viewer tweeted, “I’m not sure I’m buying that and by the looks on the kids’ faces, I don’t think they did either.” The consensus among fan comments on social media is that because Kody never made amends with Garrison, he invented a way to do it for himself.
Sister Wives Patriarch in Competition with His Older Boys
But despite Kody’s dream forgiveness he conjured up about Garrison, that doesn’t mean Kody can’t still mend his relationships with the other Sister Wives kids. It was heartbreaking for fans to see him turn Logan away—basically rejecting a hand held out in love.
Other fans shared their thoughts on why Kody dismissed Logan’s help. If you’ve never noticed, Kody is quite competitive with his older boys, we have seen this in the past on Sister Wives.
Logan Steps into Kody’s Shoes…
As the eldest of Janelle’s six children, Logan often acted as a father figure when Kody was away, doing his rotation at the other Sister Wives’ homes. Earlier seasons showed Logan gathering his younger siblings for bedtime while Janelle worked. He often got them up, fed them, prepared breakfast, and got them off to school before heading to his own classes. That’s all daddy work that Logan Brown was doing—things Kody should’ve done.
It stands to reason that these kids might still turn to Logan, who was an always-present father figure, even when Kody was around. Some Sister Wives fans wonder if Kody felt jealous that Logan stepped up when he fell short as a father.
Sister Wives: Jealousy Goes Way Back…
But other fans think this presumed resentment towards Logan dates back even further. If you remember, Kody’s first born was Logan Brown. And Meri, Janelle, and Christine all doted on Logan, the first child born into the family.
Some fans wonder if Kody was jealous from the get-go because Logan got a lot of attention from all three wives as a baby. It’s an interesting theory about Kody’s insecurities, if nothing else.
And also, let’s be clear, Logan had what Kody didn’t – a loving relationship with his brother, Garrison, until the day he died. This is something Kody desperately wished he had but when he estranged himself from his grown kids during COVID, he lost that.
So we’re left with that awful scene of Logan reaching out with love and understanding to Kody at Garrison’s funeral and basically getting his hand slapped away. It’s just sad for everyone – for Kody, for Logan, for Janelle, and for it to happen at Garrison’s funeral.
