The Brown Family Recently Came Together For Garrison’s Funeral On Sister Wives

Leon is Kody Brown’s third child and Meri Brown’s only biological child. Coming out as transgender in 2022 on Instagram, Leon also uses they and them pronouns.

Over the years, Leon has become known to Sister Wives fans as being relatively private. They also rarely appear on the show.

A recent episode airing May 18, 2025, saw Leon make a rare appearance on the show as the Brown family came together for their brother Garrison Brown’s funeral. Tragically, Garrison passed away on March 5, 2024, at the age of 25. His death was later reported as a suicide.

Leon could be seen with their sister Maddie Brown Brush, who is the daughter of Kody and Janelle Brown. During their scene together, Brush could be heard saying, “So with Kody, it’s like I’m angry at the way things happened,” touching on a strained relationship with her father. All the while, Leon appeared intently listen to their sister’s share.

Brush continued, “But I can control how I react and how I reciprocate. And I’m still deciding how I do that.” Leon remained silent, while another family member appeared to laugh at what Brush was saying.

Brush added, “I’m sad for him and I’m really sad for Robyn’s kids. And if I had a conversation with any of them, I’d be like, ‘I have nothing against you. And if I’ve ever done anything to hurt you, I’m sorry.”

Leon Has Also Released A Few Statements Concerning Garrison On Social Media

Leon then discussed Robyn’s children, noting, “I would love to have a conversation with them.” Brush continued, “I’m not sure what to say other than that. Like, if I ever caused you pain, I’m sorry.”

At the time of their brother’s passing, Leon shared a photo of them with their brother on Instagram. In the caption, they shared, “To the stars, bowen, to the stars.” this was a quote from Dragonheart, one of Garrison’s favorite films.

As noted by Today, during the anniversary of Garrison’s death, Leon also shared a photo with their brother on social media. This was also captioned, “I miss you more each passing day, it doesn’t get easier, it just gets longer.”

Leon’s mother Meri is known to honor their desire for privacy, rarely sharing updates about them with fans. In a rare such statement with People, Meri shared an update about Leon in December 2024.

At the time, Meri prefaced this with, “They, by their choice, have made a decision to not be super public. So, I don’t talk about them so much.” Meri continued, however, “We talk often. They’re doing well.”
