Sister Wives: Cast Member Shares Update About Her Husband’s Cancer Diagnosis!

Sister Wives has been going on for almost two decades now. Over the years, we have seen several people join the show as castmates. From close friends to family, we’ve seen many cameos, but some characters live in our heads rent-free. However, recently, a tragedy struck a fellow castmate as she talked about her husband’s cancer diagnosis. Previously, Janelle Brown dealt with skin cancer in 2021, but this time, it’s not about her. It’s about Jenn Sullivan and her husband.

Jenn, who is Meri’s best friend and a regular cast member on the show, has been close to Meri for years, especially after her divorce. Recently, Meri went live on Instagram with Jenn during their weekly Fridays with Friends live session. Jenn has been managing Meri’s Heritage Inn in Parowan since Meri’s mother passed away. During the session, she addressed her husband Shawn’s cancer diagnosis. Doctors diagnosed him with Sarcoma, and he has undergone surgery and radiation treatment.

Sister Wives: Jenn Sullivan Reveals Why She Hid Her Husband’s Cancer

Jenn Sullivan, Meri Brown’s best friend and Sister Wives castmate, recently opened up on Instagram about her husband Shawn’s rare and aggressive Sarcoma diagnosis. She shared that doctors confirmed the cancer in February 2025, just before the couple celebrated their 19th anniversary. Jenn posted a photo of them smiling on that day, right before Shawn began radiation and underwent two surgeries.

They chose to hide the diagnosis from their kids so they could finish the school year without stress. Once they told them, the kids helped the family stay hopeful. Jenn thanked everyone for their support, prayers, and kindness and said they needed time to process things privately. Now, as Shawn slowly recovers, Jenn uses her platform to spread Sarcoma awareness and share their journey openly.

Sister Wives: Jenn Shared Details About Her Husband’s Cancer Diagnosis!

Jenn, on her Instagram, talked in detail about her husband Shawn’s cancer diagnosis. She revealed that July is Sarcoma Awareness Month, and she wants to spread the word. Jenn explained that initially, her husband thought the cancer spot was actually a bug bite. He scratched it and even remembered slapping his calf, thinking a mosquito was bothering him.

The lump gradually grew, and when they visited the doctors, the doctors believed it was a cyst or a lipoma. After some time, when the lump kept growing, they decided to remove it surgically and get a biopsy done. At that point, they realized it wasn’t a cyst but actually Sarcoma. Soon after, her husband began his radiation treatment.

Doctors initially misdiagnosed him with Angiosarcoma. It was actually Myxoid Liposarcoma. Unfortunately, the bump started to spread, and the doctors had to monitor him carefully. The journey wasn’t easy, and even the doctors missed a lump growing just behind the radiation area. As a result, they performed another surgery.

Fans and family supported them throughout the journey, and the couple even kept Shawn’s condition a secret from their children. They wanted their children to complete the school year without any stress. Meri supported her friend throughout this difficult time, and now Shawn is gradually improving. Initially, he had to wait to walk, but now he is back on his feet.
