90 Day: The Last Resort- Which Controversial Couples Should Join The Show?

90 Day: The Last Resort is an excellent spinoff, but there is some suggestion it could’ve used a better cast. The new reality TV series premiered in August 2023 and is showcasing five couples trying to fix their relationship through therapy. These pairs include Big Ed Brown and Liz Woods, Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa, Molly Hopkins and Kelly Brown, Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi, and Yara Zaya and Jovi Dufren. While the network star-studded the spinoff with popular names, the cast could’ve been much better. The franchise has many other couples who deserve to be part of the new therapy-orientated show.

The general consensus is that some pairs on 90 Day: The Last Resort didn’t need to be on it. For example, Yara and Jovi married years ago and formed a beautiful family. They are a regular couple with common marital issues that don’t need therapy. There is no reason for the two to join the new spin-off show, as they have a perfectly normal relationship. Similarly, Angela and Michael didn’t need to be on the new spin-off because they have no future. They are toxic together and would be much happier if they parted ways.

Pedro Jimeno & Chantel Everett

A few couples would have benefited greatly from appearing on 90 Day: The Last Resort. Pedro Jimeno and Chantel Everett broke up during The Family Chantel season 4. The two filed for divorce and began focusing on themselves. However, it’s hard to deny that they didn’t share true love at one point in time. Their old posts and history proves they fell out of love due to numerous family problems and a lack of communication. Appearing on 90 Day: The Last Resort could’ve saved their marriage and given their relationship another chance. It would have allowed Pedro to clear his name from the cheating rumors.

Kris Foster & Jeymi Noguera

Kris Foster and Jeymi Noguera weren’t the best on-screen couple. However, they truly loved each other and got married within days of meeting. Unfortunately, they had to break up under the pressure of communication issues and a lack of honesty. 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 4 showed that the two really wanted to make things work but couldn’t trust each other. Therefore, they would have been a great fit for 90 Day: The Last Resort. Jeymi and Kris needed therapy to understand each other better and have some faith. The bonding activities on the show would’ve helped them see one another in a new light.

Kim Menzies & Usman Umar

90 Day: The Last Resort could’ve also featured Kim Menzies and Usman “Sojaboy” Umar. The two were only together for a few years but managed to impress viewers with trust and friendship. After Kim and Usman announced their break-up during 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days season 5 Tell All, they stayed friends. The two have since defended each other and shown mutual respect on social media. Kim and Usman would’ve benefited the most by appearing in the new spin-off. Their problems were far more entertaining than the minor gaps between pairs like Yara and Jovi. They would’ve been really cast for 90 Day: The Last Resort.

90 Day: The Last Resort airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EST.
