90 Day: Hunt for Love’s Chantel Everett Claims Ex Pedro Jimeno ‘Still Owes’ Her Money After Divorce
Chantel Everett may be looking for love on TLC’s latest dating spinoff, 90 Day: Hunt for Love, but she’s not holding back when it comes to calling out her ex-husband, Pedro Jimeno.
The Georgia native, 34, was asked what her ex “would say about her” during a steamy hot tub speed dating session in episode 1, which aired on TLC on Monday, May 26.
“He probably would have a lot of words to say. One of which would probably be, ‘Where’s my money?’” Chantel said with a laugh, alluding to her ex-husband as she mimicked his Spanish accent. “’You took my money.’”
When her date, Chris, asked if Chantel actually “took his money,” she responded, “I took my money out of the bank account that we shared,” adding, “I feel like he still owes me money.”
In a private confessional, the TLC star admitted she felt instantly overwhelmed, stumbling through the awkward flirtation and confessing that talking about Pedro, 33, completely threw her off.
“When Chris asked me what my ex would say about me, I’m taken aback by it because my ex was a seven-year marriage, not just a boyfriend,” she told producers. “And you don’t know what’s behind that door when you go knocking. And it wasn’t good for me.”

Chantel is looking for love after heartbreak on 90 Day: Hunt for Love following her 2022 split from Pedro. The former couple documented the 90 days before their 2016 wedding on season 4 of 90 Day Fiancé. Her tumultuous journey with Pedro, including their long-standing family feuds, played out across multiple seasons of 90 Day Fiancé and continued into their spinoff, The Family Chantel.
In Touch confirmed Pedro filed for divorce from Chantel on May 27, 2022, according to online court records. At the time, a mutual restraining order was also filed.
Season 5 of The Family Chantel, which premiered in November 2023, documented the couple as they finalized their divorce and worked through one last tie holding them together — the sale of their Lawrenceville, Georgia, home. In Touch previously confirmed the TLC alums purchased the property for $290,000 in January 2022. During the season, Pedro famously accused Chantel of taking $265,000 out of their joint bank account.
“Chantel stole all the money from the joint bank account,” the Dominican Republic native said during a November 2023 episode of The Family Chantel. “I went this morning to try to get little things for my apartment, and when they tried to swipe the card, the card said, ‘Declined.’ I noticed that she swiped out everything.”
Pedro then noted that his ex eventually gave the money to the court after she spent $60,000.
“He was trying to say that I stole money, but no, I didn’t,” Chantel fired back in her own confessional. “I did take money out of the account, but I was using that money for our divorce and the bills of the house. And then, I gave the rest to the registry of the court.”
The TV personality added that she took the money out of their account because she “didn’t know what he was capable of.” Chantel continued, “I’m like, ‘I need to take this money out before Pedro runs off to the Dominican Republic somewhere and hides it.’”
90 Day: Hunt for Love airs on TLC on Monday at 8 p.m. ET.
