A video has emerged showing the aftermath of Kendra Duggar’s recent stint in jail. The footage captures a heated exchange between Duggar family matriarch Michelle Duggar and a paparazzi photographer stationed outside the family’s Arkansas compound.
The video, posted by TikTok user @Shabba.com, shows Michelle clad in the same outfit she wore when bailing Kendra out of jail. Kendra and her husband Joseph were arrested for endangering the welfare of a minor and false imprisonment. Joseph, however, remained in jail due to prior charges of child molestation.
In the video, Michelle, phone in hand, confronts the photographer. She argues that filming and profiting from the situation is wrong, especially with children present. Michelle asserts she is “protecting children right now.”
When the photographer inquires about the reasons for Joe and Kendra’s arrest, Michelle’s anger intensifies. The mother of 19 exclaims, “None of your business!”
The photographer, mistaking Kendra for Michelle’s daughter and Joe as her son-in-law, mentions that Joseph “was doing something way worse.”
“NO!” Michelle retorts. “You don’t have the right to be here!”
The clip then cuts to a scene likely preceding the confrontation. Michelle is seen hurrying up a small hill, carrying a water bottle and a bag.
She knocks on the photographer’s car window. He asks for an interview, but Michelle refuses, stating, “You cannot be here!”
“You are interfering with CHILDREN!” she exclaims. “…shame on you!”
The photographer identifies himself as “here for press,” even calling her “mom.”
“You will go! You will not ask me anything! You will have to talk to someone else!” Michelle demands. “Shame on you!”
(In the TikTok comments, the photographer clarified he was on a public road.)
This is Michelle’s first public appearance since the arrest of her son Joseph and daughter-in-law Kendra. In addition to child endangerment and false imprisonment charges, Joe faces charges of Lewd and Lascivious Behavior– Molestation of a Victim Less Than 12 Years Old, as well as a charge of Lewd and Lascivious Behavior Conducted By a Person 18 Years or Older. An alleged victim recently claimed Joe molested her in 2020 when she was nine years old.
Michelle and her husband Jim Bob have yet to release a public statement.
