90 Day Fiancé: B90 – Meisha’s Past Bothers Nicola (He Desperately Tried To Hide Her)
90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star, Meisha Johnson is beginning to wonder how she will get married to Nicola Kanaan if he cannot accept her for who she is. 43-year-old Meisha is a former on-air journalist who now works full-time at the Catholic Church as the Director of Pastoral Care. The Blaine, Minnesota, resident had a profound spiritual awakening a decade ago after having a vision of two huge suns suspended out of the sky in front of her window. Nicola, the 46-year-old Israeli virgin, has a website with traditional catholic Novenas.
Nicola found a lost Meisha on social media. He felt she needed someone to lead her to God, so he sent her a message. Nicola’s message hit Meisha at the right moment. It was Nicola who helped Meisha leave her television career and devote herself full-time to her faith. When they met in person for the first time after seven years, Meisha knew she had to get engaged to Nicola and start the K-1 visa process for his arrival in the U.S. But Nicola kept Meisha hanging because he was hesitant and thought it was a bad idea for him to introduce Meisha to his family.
90 Day Fiancé’s Meisha Was Married At 22
Meisha had found love with a foreign exchange student in high school. It ultimately led to Meisha moving to Sweden. Meisha got married to the man when she was 22 years old. Unfortunately, the marriage did not last. But Meisha welcomed two beautiful daughters, Morea and Svea, in her marriage, who, to her, are the most precious things in the world. After her divorce, Meisha had a fun social life. “I was the fun party girl at the bar and going out all the time,” said Meisha, whose daughters are now teenagers. Post her conversion, things got lonely for Meisha since all she could talk about was the bible or going to church. The super lost and isolated Meisha started talking to Nicola across the world.
Nicola Kept Meisha A Secret For Seven Years
“I never believed I would have any relationship with a divorced woman,” Nicola admitted in his very first interview. It took Meisha and Nicola a year to admit they had feelings for each other. Between that and COVID-19, it had been seven years since they had not met each other. Nicola also told the cameras, “She will never expect that Meisha will be like the type of woman for me because she’s diverse. American. Not a virgin,” when talking about his mother accepting Meisha as a daughter-in-law. “I basically hide Meisha [for] seven years… so that’s going to be a heart attack for my mom. Like an atomic bomb that I’m dropping on my mom,” he added.
Nicola Is Scared About His Image As A Religious Person
While both Nicola and Meisha are Catholic, they have very different personalities. Nicola kept insisting that his mother is a “difficult woman” who is “set in her way.” Even when they sat in front of his mom and brothers, Nicola sat away from her on the couch, giving no emotion toward Meisha. She wondered if he was “afraid” to say Meisha was his girlfriend. Mickey and Andy, Nicola’s brothers, were shocked to know Nicola had feelings toward Meisha. But when they translated what the couple said for their mom and told Nadia about Nicola wanting to get engaged, Nicola’s mom couldn’t hide her happiness. Nadia also happily agreed to Nicola moving to America after his engagement.
But this was before Nicola told his family about Meisha being previously married and having two daughters. Nadia, again, didn’t care because she only wanted her son to get married. Nicola’s brothers then wondered if Nicola wasn’t telling them about Meisha because she was divorced and had kids. “Maybe I think he’s scared that his image of a religious person will get hurt. He is scared that we will look at him in a different way,” said Mickey. 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days star, Meisha worriedly wondered why she had to fight so hard for him to tell his family. “Nicola, is it you who has the problem with me?” she asked.
