90 Day Fiancé Alum Cleo’s New Fundraiser Receives Backlash (Is She Trying To Gain Sympathy?)

To undergo gender-affirming surgery, Cleo Corraine is seeking financial support from 90 Day Fiancé viewers, but her fundraiser is getting backlash.

Cleo Corraine has turned many 90 Day Fiancé fans against her by asking them to donate for her gender-affirming surgery. The 32-year-old London-based model rose to popularity when she debuted on Before the 90 Days with her American boyfriend, Christian Allgood. She aimed to make her relationship work and settle down with her beau for good. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as Cleo had planned. Instead, her situation got very complicated once Christian arrived in England and gaslighted her. The American reality star didn’t openly accept Cleo for who she was and seemed confused about his preferences.

Christian broke Cleo’s heart numerous times through his actions. He downplayed their relationship in front of cameras, talked to other women, and didn’t show enough respect. It was believed that Cleo and Christian would break up before the finale. However, the two stunned many viewers twice in a matter of weeks. Christian proposed to Cleo during the Tell All, and they stayed together. The two then reunited in the United States, where Christian introduced his girlfriend to his family. Surprisingly, the pair confirmed their split shortly after. Cleo released a statement saying she didn’t feel compatible with Christian.

Why Cleo Has Launched A Fundraiser

Recently, Cleo shared a post on her Instagram asking for donations. She posted a video talking about a new GoFundMe campaign she started that would allow her to get the gender-affirming surgeries she requires. The 90 Day Fiancé franchise star wrote, “my gender dysphoria causes me to devalue myself.” Throughout her post, Cleo discussed how her situation has led her to face hardships, stating “I want to just be able to move past this stage of my life that has dragged for the past 11 years and move on with my life and be helpful and dedicated to my communities.” Cleo shared that she couldn’t afford procedures such as endocrinologist visits, laser hair removal, and voice therapy, leading her to start her transition fundraiser.

Fans Don’t Think Cleo’s Surgery Is An Emergency

Cleo presented the idea as a medical emergency and asked her followers to help her. However, some fans feel she was trying to gain sympathy by making it seem like her situation was worsening. As seen in a since-removed Reddit thread by SingingNina, an agitated Redditor said, “this cite should be used for people dealing with emergencies.” The Reddit user claimed GoFundMe should only allow real “victims of natural disasters, funeral costs, necessary medical bills” and shouldn’t let people use it for what the user deemed unnecessary surgery. Another Redditor commented, “maybe she isn’t so different from chris after all,” suggesting that Cleo is just as shady as her American ex.

Cleo Is Accused Of Faking A Relationship To Be On TV

Many 90 Day Fiancé viewers now speculate that Cleo used her relationship to get on reality TV, so she could use her fame to get donations. A Reddit user wrote, now I feel like the whole relationship was bs. The Redditor added, “I’m fully supportive of the lgbtq+ but transitioning isn’t something you set up a gofundme for.” People also questioned if Cleo lied about being autistic to make everyone feel sorry for her. Since Cleo works as a model and an influencer, many 90 Day Fiancé fans think she should use her own money to afford her surgeries.
